Cabinet Secretarys Annual Leaders Forum

The Co-operative Alliance of Kenya (CAK), the national apex organization and unified voice of Kenya’s Co-operative Movement, is pleased to invite your co-operative to the 5th Annual Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives and MSMEs Consultative Forum with Co-operative Movement Leaders, to be held at Sawela Lodge, Naivasha, from 16th to 20th November 2026.

The Forum will be held under the theme: “BUILDING A RESILIENT, ACCOUNTABLE AND FUTURE-READY CO-OPERATIVE MOVEMENT” - Strengthening Leadership, Governance, Policy and Institutional Resilience.

The Forum is a national platform for all co-operative societies in Kenya to engage in dialogue, reflect on the performance of the Co-operative Movement and contribute to the future direction of the sector.

The Forum will provide an opportunity to:

  1. Engage on legal, policy and regulatory matters affecting co-operatives.
  2. Reflect on the performance of Kenya’s Co-operative Movement.
  3. Strengthen Government and Co-operative Movement dialogue.
  4. Contribute to policy and legislative direction and reforms.
  5. Strengthen leadership, governance and accountability in cooperatives.
  6. Address emerging issues including digital transformation, sustainability, resilience and innovation.
  7. Examine the role of the media in promoting and strengthening the Co-operative Movement.

  3. Chief Executive Officers and Senior Management
  4. National and County Government Representatives
  5. Development Partners, Academia and Sector Experts
  6. Media Representatives

Participants are expected to report on 16th November 2026 for registration and check-in. The main Forum sessions and consultative engagements will run from 17th to 19th November 2026, with 20th November 2026 designated as the departure date.
