Invitation To The 4th Annual Cabinet Secretary's Consultative Forum With Co-operative Stakeholders- 17th To 21st November 2025, Lake Naivasha Resort

The Co-operative Alliance of Kenya (CAK), the National Apex Organization and the unified voice of Kenya’s Co-operative Movement, in collaboration with key sector stakeholders, is delighted to invite you to the 4th Annual Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSME’s Consultative Leaders Forum, scheduled to take place at Lake Naivasha Resort, Naivasha, from 17th to 21st November 2025. 

This year’s forum will be held under the theme:  “Shaping the Future of Co-operatives: Leadership, Innovation & Sustainable Growth.”

As the umbrella body, CAK represents all registered co-operative societies under the Co-operative Societies Act spanning National Co-operative Organizations, Co-operative Unions, and Primary Co-operative Societies.  Collectively, the Movement serves over 14 million Kenyans, mobilizing savings of more than KES 800 billion (about 30% of national savings) and standing as a critical pillar of Kenya’s socio-economic growth. 

What to Look Forward To:

  1. The Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs, together with key government officials, will grace the forum, providing policy direction and engaging with sector leaders.
  2. Expert-led training sessions on: Data Protection & Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Cyber Security & ICT Innovations, Taxation ( Tax pain areas for Saccos), Cooperative Leadership & Governance 
  3. A review of the 3rd Forum (2024) report and progress updates.
  4. Insights on emerging issues shaping the cooperative sector, including the Cooperative Bill in Parliament.
  5. Discussions on performance, reforms, challenges, and strategies to strengthen resilience and sustainable growth.
